Integrate leakage monitoring into your transformation plan

Promotion of BRANDES leak detection within the framework of the BEW

In order to reduce the high energy consumption in heat generation, heating networks are to be greenhouse gas neutral by 2045. The infrastructure measures eligible for funding under Module 2 of the BEW include leak monitoring, which aims to detect damage to pipelines at an early stage and thus prevent follow-up costs.

Module 2: Systemic investment promotion

Purpose:

Promotion of the construction and conversion of heating networks with a high proportion of renewable energies.

Requirements:

  • Submission of a feasibility study for new networks or a transformation plan for existing networks.

  • Integration of heat from renewable sources or waste heat.

  • Integration of efficiency and optimization measures such as leak detection to minimize heat loss

40% of eligible costs, maximum €100 million per application
