More than 65,000 km of BRANDES NiCr sensors are in use throughout Europe. The largest European operators and energy suppliers rely on the coordinated interaction of the various BRANDES system components. Our NiCr sensor technology is part of the classic plastic casing pipes and enables the early detection of moisture and leaks through precise resistance measurement. In addition to the wires, the sensor system components also include connection and connection components to ensure reliable functionality. The BRANDES NiCr system is characterized by sensitive measuring accuracy and makes a significant contribution to early detection by locating damage. It enables continuous monitoring of pipe networks by alerting the operator to potential problems at an early stage. In addition, BRANDES offers special testing and measuring devices that are essential for monitoring and analyzing the NiCr measuring loops. These devices enable the evaluation of insulation resistance, as well as the precise location of moisture faults, which enables proactive maintenance of the monitored networks.
The advantages of the NiCr system
The BS NiCr system is a reliable solution for early leakage detection in insulated pipes in district and local heating networks. BRANDES NiCr sensors are processed and supplied by all well-known pipe manufacturers in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications.
Moisture level with localization option
Long-standing customers particularly appreciate the early detection of damage in order to keep repair costs low and thus protect their investment. Compared to conventional monitoring systems, the Brandes system is characterized by the particularly early and precise detection of leaks. Early detection of damage minimizes the progression of damage. The storage of the insulation resistances in the continuous monitoring enables an evaluation of the damage development. The illustration is exemplary - Delta (t) varies depending on the cause of the damage and the progression of moisture spread in the PUR foam.
As a compatible successor to the BS-1 system, the BS-2 system is an advanced measuring and monitoring system that has been specially developed for district heating and district cooling systems.
