Stationary device technology
BRANDES system (NiCr)
An important component in the construction of a heating network or the expansion of existing lines is the associated monitoring technology. The integration of NiCr sensors in the PUR foam of the plastic casing pipes forms the central element of the monitoring system in the pipe technology area. Permanent monitoring of the network sections is of crucial importance for the operator in order to detect leaks and damage at an early stage and localize them precisely. This makes it possible to assert warranty claims in good time, protect investments and significantly extend the service life of the entire system.
Stationary monitoring device BS-23
For permanent and automatic system checks during construction and system operation
The BS-23 is the first model in the BS-2 series and is a stationary monitoring device that is fully compatible with all types in the BS-1 series. It enables automatic monitoring and detection of moisture, leaks and other damage in insulated and double-walled pipes. Thanks to its innovative modular design, the device can be flexibly adapted to different applications. The BS-2 series also supports various communication interfaces such as LoRaWAN, LTE and others to ensure modern and reliable data transmission.
Main functions
- Display of insulation values in MH levels as well as detailed measured values for early condition assessment
- Checking the measuring loop
- Comprehensive fault classification (loop interruption, insulation fault, etc.)
- Automatic pinpoint location of the fault
- Individually adjustable signaling thresholds for insulation measurement
- Configurable sensors
Key properties
- State-of-the-art BYOD operation via integrated web browser via iPad, notebook, cell phone
- Storage of the complete process and measurement history
- Modular design (can be individually equipped with up to 8 different modules)
- Innovative display module with integrated gesture control
- Loop modules for monitoring Brandes (NiCr) and Nordic system (also suitable for mixed networks)
- Additional sensor modules (temperature, low point, pressure, etc.)
- Compatible with all common communication interfaces (LoRaWAN, mobile radio, Brandes bus, network, etc.)
Battery-operated device technology (BS-125x/127x)
The GSM/LTE and LoRaWAN line computer BS-125x/127x are powerful devices for centralized pipe network monitoring and automatic detection of insulation faults in isolated networks. With high-precision sensors and integrated communication modules, the system enables reliable continuous monitoring of pipe routes. Continuous monitoring of the insulation values reports limit value violations in real time and regularly transmits status data to the central software solution. Thanks to an integrated lithium battery, the route computer operates with low maintenance for several years.
Functional description:
- Automatic monitoring: Permanent measurement of the insulation resistance and the sensor loops.
- Real-time alerting: Automatic notification via LTE and LoRaWAN if limit values are exceeded.
- Precise localization: Fault localization with distance indication as a percentage of the sensor wire length.
- Data transmission: Regular status updates to the central monitoring platform. A BRANDES software solution (StatusShow or Heatconn) as well as the in-house LoRaWAN dashboard can be used for this.
- Independent energy supply: Internal lithium batteries with a runtime of over 5 years.
- Robust design: IP 54 protection class for use in harsh environments.
- Flexibility: Supports various loop configurations (up to 4 loops of 1000 m each).
- High locating accuracy: Locating tolerance of ±0.2 % ± 1 m at <1 MOhm
