Stationary device technology

BRANDES system (NiCr)

An important component in the construction of a heating network or the expansion of existing lines is the associated monitoring technology. The integration of NiCr sensors in the PUR foam of the plastic casing pipes forms the central element of the monitoring system in the pipe technology area. Permanent monitoring of the network sections is of crucial importance for the operator in order to detect leaks and damage at an early stage and localize them precisely. This makes it possible to assert warranty claims in good time, protect investments and significantly extend the service life of the entire system.

Stationary monitoring device BS-23

For permanent and automatic system checks during construction and system operation

The BS-23 is the first model in the BS-2 series and is a stationary monitoring device that is fully compatible with all types in the BS-1 series. It enables automatic monitoring and detection of moisture, leaks and other damage in insulated and double-walled pipes. Thanks to its innovative modular design, the device can be flexibly adapted to different applications. The BS-2 series also supports various communication interfaces such as LoRaWAN, LTE and others to ensure modern and reliable data transmission.

Main functions

  • Display of insulation values in MH levels as well as detailed measured values for early condition assessment
  • Checking the measuring loop
  • Comprehensive fault classification (loop interruption, insulation fault, etc.)
  • Automatic pinpoint location of the fault
  • Individually adjustable signaling thresholds for insulation measurement
  • Configurable sensors

Key properties

  • State-of-the-art BYOD operation via integrated web browser via iPad, notebook, cell phone
  • Storage of the complete process and measurement history
  • Modular design (can be individually equipped with up to 8 different modules)
  • Innovative display module with integrated gesture control
  • Loop modules for monitoring Brandes (NiCr) and Nordic system (also suitable for mixed networks)
  • Additional sensor modules (temperature, low point, pressure, etc.)
  • Compatible with all common communication interfaces (LoRaWAN, mobile radio, Brandes bus, network, etc.)

Stationary monitoring device BS-22

For permanent and automatic system checks during construction and system operation

The BS-22 expands the already established BS-2 system with a battery-powered power supply. Thanks to battery modules, the power supply can now be used independently even in off-grid locations. It enables automatic monitoring and detection of moisture, leaks, and other damage in insulated and double-walled piping. The innovative modular design of the BS-2 series is continued in this model, allowing for flexible customization. Integrated communication modules for LoRaWAN and LTE ensure reliable data transmission even in remote locations.

Main functions

  • Display of insulation values in MH levels as well as detailed measured values for early condition assessment
  • Checking the measuring loop
  • Comprehensive fault classification (loop interruption, insulation fault, etc.)
  • Automatic pinpoint location of the fault
  • Individually adjustable signaling thresholds for insulation measurement
  • Configurable sensors

Key properties

  • BYOD configuration via Wi-Fi or USB-C using a built-in web server
  • Battery life of up to 10 years
  • Storage of the complete process and measurement history
  • Modular design (can be customized with up to three different modules)
  • Loop modules for monitoring Brandes (NiCr) and Nordic systems (also suitable for mixed networks)
  • Additional sensor modules (temperature, dew point, pressure, etc.)
  • Compatible with all common communication interfaces (LoRaWAN, cellular/LTE)
